LISA M GONZALES, PHOTOGRAPHER

My name is Lisa Gonzales and I am a photographer living in Southern California.

I fell in love with photography when I was 10 years old and received my first Kodak instamatic. 30 years later, I am using a little bit more sophisticated equipment but that same love is still there.

Most of my photography is personal. Photography is how I express myself, it's my voice. I believe that the world we live in is filled with magic and wonder. My goal is to capture all of it with my lens, from the intricate details of a flower to the wide open landscapes of our planet and all the people and creatures that walk upon it (or fly).

I also do event and portrait work. I find this type of work challenging and exciting. Nothing makes me happier than to see my photos brighten someone’s day. There’s not much more that you can ask for than that.

I try not to do a whole lot of post-processing. I believe that less is more and that if I get it right, I shouldn't have to do any post editing, or at least not much. It's my goal. 5 minutes, tops. Even for black and white images.
